Starting something new...

For those of you who know me welcome to my new blog!
To those of you who dont know me... Thanks for popping by... welcome!
I decided I needed a new home to show off all my scrappy/crafty stuff.
I would like to start off by introducing myself...
My name is Rachel Schryver.
I am married to Rod and we have two amazing children, Abbee & Jed.
I began scrapbooking back in 2006 and very quickly became addicted. I love the creativity and the artyness of scrapping... its a fantastic creative outlet. But by far I love the way scrapping allows me to tell stories and preserve stories for my kids and their kids and their kids and so on to look at one day and see what life was like for us. Not just the big moments... but the smaller more seemingly mundane things as well. I think Ive always had an interest in knowing the stories of my parents, my grandparents and their parents etc. I know there are many photographs from my childhood that I dont know the story behind... and my parents cant remember the story... Im determined that wont happen to my kids.
I am passionate about scrapping... and even more passionate about preserving memories... I would encourage everyone to even simply have some way of recording the story of a photo and keeping it with the photo... even if its as basic as a post it note stuck to the back of a photo... you may not think its important now but in years to come you or someone you love will appreciate those stories.
I will end by sharing a few of my favourite scrap pages...

All You Need is Love...

You are my Sunshine...
